Aqua One's 27s Black Sponge Pad provides physical filtration in Aqua One's Maxi 103 internal filters. The 27s Black Sponge's primary function is the removal of unwanted larger particles of aquarium waste and debris from your aquarium. Black sponges are designed to attract waste and often become fairly clogged, so it's important that they are checked on a regular basis.

Change every 8 weeks

As with most Black Sponges, the 27s may be rinsed in discarded aquarium water if it has become clogged and then reused in the filter. However for best results with your 27s Black Sponge it's best to replace every 8 weeks to help maintain your aquarium in perfect condition.
